Cuba was established as the main recipient of the Canarian emigration throughout the nineteenth century and early twentieth century, a phenomenon that contributes to the definition of Cuban cultural identity now, given the serious economic crisis in the island , Canary Islands has become one of the areas of solidarity and hospitality of Cubans, being in the majority of descendants of former emigrants islanders. It is with the aim of studying the influence of this migration phenomenon in the field of dance, the arts degree in dance performances cuban Rudisberto Carralero Nuñez, he moved to Tenerife in 2007.
Then, in 2008 Rudy Carralero, along with Rosa Maria Lecuona Neumann, Manuel Fernando Santos Jara, Maria Rosario MartÃn MartÃn and Maria del Carmen Claverie Martin, created a cultural association, which takes the name of the famous Cuban poet and journalist, Jesus Orta Ruiz, El Indio NaborÃ, then creating the dance group belonging to the association.
Naborà LT Cultural Association, conducts studies and research in addition to the above, a series of activities to achieve the development, promotion and safeguarding of cultural heritage and artistic community, and to promote unity and cultural exchange between the Canary Islands and all those places where migrants of them have left their mark and vice versa. An example of these activities include conferences, courses, workshops, and exhibitions, cultural tours, shows, etc.
